It has been a slow month, not too many people are as active as they were a month or two ago and things look to be winding down, but that doesn't discourage Revival members, we are here to bring Ansi to the scene, and that is exactly what we are going to do. This pack is not nearly as big as previous ones, but it boasts some great submissions. We lost one of our best members this month to iCE, we will miss fever's great contributions and skillful work.  new members .. Ansi showdowns is an exciting new competition created by lazthaus (ld!), and myself, with additional help from discyple. There is a very detailed explanation of what exactly these "showdowns" are, and how you can partic- ipate, in SHOWDOWN.ANS. To give a very brief overview, the Ansi showdowns are basically a competition between artists. Two artists come together and challenge eachother to a showdown. The showdown is voted upon by everyone in the scene (on blackthursday.net), and scores are kept. It was created to liven up the scene and challenge artists to better their current skill. For more information please review SHOWDOWN.ANS.  bbs update .. As stated in the last newsletter, Revival is dedicated to all facets of the scene; this includes the BBS scene. Ansi has many deep roots in the BBS scene and without it there may have never BEEN an Ansi scene.
