Hey everyone, well it's another pack and we are still alive and kicking! It is great to see the Ansi scene turnaround like it has. We are seeing  QUALITY work out of numerous groups, a great Ansi archive (idle dreams), bulletin boards are popping up left and right, and even emags (fubar) are being produced! For being in 2002 it is truly amazing to see such energy in this great community. For Revival the trip has been amazing, we have inspired many artists to draw once again, and to bring back healthy competition.  This month is our first month to lose members, ize has left to join Jasper, and black knight has taken a leave of absence due to lack of time. We wish both of you the best, and you're always welcome in Revival. Revival 4 is another solid pack, although not quite as big as Revival 3, you'll see just as much quality and hopefully get an inspired feeling to draw. We are proud to have you onboard SG! sodium (N4) :: status - Revived: - Many remember sodium from his many contributions to the scene, whether it was through his hilarious stories played by scenesters in Acrylic, or through his amazing ansi canvases in groups such as fire and acid. somberlain   :: status - Revived: - Somberlain joined Revival this month and is ready to rock the scene! tripulogic   :: status - Revived:   - Revival welcomes Tripulogic to the family of revived artists and scene gangsters. Tripulogic comes from past groups such as remorse and 123. the knight   :: status - Revived:   - You might remember The Knight from legendary groups as fuel, if you don't, then you are missing out. Revival welcomes The Knight back to the scene. pariah   :: status - Revived:   - Pariah has been a force in the scene for quite some time. He has touched many groups with his leadership and skills. You might remember him from fire!ascii, or from The ANSI Awards. Revival welcomes pariah and hopes to keep this fire burning!  ansi showdowns .. Ansi showdowns is an exciting new competition created by lazthaus (ld!), and myself, with additional help from discyple. There is a very detailed explanation of what exactly these "showdowns" are, and how you can partic- ipate, in SHOWDOWN.ANS. To give a very brief overview, the Ansi showdowns are basically a competition between artists. Two artists come together and challenge eachother to a showdown. The showdown is voted upon by everyone in the scene (on blackthursday.net), and scores are kept. It was created to liven up the scene and challenge artists to better their current skill. Ansi has many deep roots in the BBS scene and without it there may have never BEEN an Ansi scene.
