i remember

i remember once i saw a man
he looked so cold and all alone
it made me want to cry
i remember once i saw a man
he looked straight into my eyes
sending me shivers up my spine
i remember the look upon his face
as he tried to hide the pain
i remember he prayed to find
some goodness, but this was all
done in vain.  how shallow are
we all? to have let this all be done.
unto us he cast death, unto you and
me and everyone.  i remember once i
saw a man, as he hung there i saw him cry.
ashamed that i could now help him.
i saw my brother die.
