another colly, another line, another day, another minute, blah! i don't write for free, i pay my mind for it's time. :) enjoy these meger writings this month... (i've been busy, stop bustin muh balls:)). find me on efnet if you have any comments or suggestions, in #cia or #lit. peace! ........... we are a lost and dying generation i do not lie... forever i searched, for a soul guide... to lead me to some deserving spring with some strength... i am tired of seeing what has been built of clay and weak timber, destroyed by the crushing, unforgiving waves i am tired of hearing the promises of generation change... by people that forged their visions into that babylon chain before they could comprehended before they could know why we need to scream out in rage! understanding is more than technology and fear life is greater than just a mere idea or just a mere "form" those who know, i fear won't remember i hear of children killing children and wars that never end hungry masses scream out in riot, but still the nations of this world do little to quench it... it's sad to see us slip and still never see the edge ........ prozac wishes sadness replaced with chemical euphoria... i wish there was another way to live... without taking this pill... i wish i had that feeling i lost when i stopped being a child. ............ History of the Lit Scene, Pt. 2 After the death of Asylum, I went back to cia, to form yet another strong lit division with Frost Byte, who tookover in my absence. There was nothing to make us believe that we were succeeding in bring literature to a new medium, because at the time the animosity against the lit scene by the ansi, ascii, and other scenes was at a peak. We focused on the image of lit, and between the two of us we coordinated cia lit with confs and other redboxed phone calls to keep in contact with the members. Eventhough everything was going well for cia, as well as it could go, everything in my personal life wasn't. Likewise i was kicked out of my house, and sold my computer for a gun. I came back... a few months later, and alot had changed in the scene. the lit scene was again facing it's end due to people abandoning the art form, and to little support within the art scene. i was getting tired of seeing good writers harassed just because there were a few people that didn't understand the art form, or saw someone try to do literature... that had no skills. i wanted to give something back to a scene that was dying, and need to be revived. Revival started as an idea between Burning Chrome, Sudden Death and myself, and through the hard efforts of CiA, we became the premier literary group in the scene. it is unfair to say that we were the best, or the only group.... during all of this Argon had Revolt, which contributed one of the largest lasting lit groups in this scene. later The Stranger formed Souls at Zero (SaZ), and Luke SKywalker formed Codine, which through all of our efforts literature became more and more respected within the art community. I sit here and think about how hard it was to write and exist on efnet at the same time, back in 1991-1994, but now people actually read the words, and some of them even write back. I am happy to see that the scene has evolved from the early days when it was just a few ansi artists putting cheezy lits in their ansis just to make them look more... gothic. :) It's not the same anymore, for better or for worst. i know i left out a good chunk of history here... but i've also been gone for a while, and have just re-entered this scene. Maybe Bluedevil or someone else can pick up where i have left off. and maybe like old soldiers, old lit writers just fade away.... ...
