[x. o v e r d o s e June 1 9 9 7 News .x] by: TeK - whelp we have barley squeaked out our 5th pack. the quality isnt up to par, but we have some good ones in here. Also due to many personal problems, some members have not been able to do their art and get it in on time. Though, we are getting bigger, we are seriosuly in need of members!! So if you got skillz and talent and are interested in joining, mail tek@irbcg.com for an application or get on EFnet and /join #Overdose. - As for overdose we are in desperate need of new talents. Our current members are dwindling, except for a small group of about 10 or so dedicated members. The others are very un-frequent visitors, which means we need members, like you, to help get the grewp goin. So follow the insctructions above to join. - I'd like to say thanx to Frodo for backing us back up with some bots MrBean and MrsBean, thanx bud. - Also to the new t1 server provided by Monroe AKA Hobbe, we have a web page up at: http://overdose.pp.se which is being updated by Frodo. - Also now since Lum|nate has had a few troubles, Frodo and I will be takin up the heirarchy for Prez' in OD. - whelp, that wraps up everything that has happend in the last month. its been hectic, hopefully we will still be around for next month. I'd like to thank right now these people : Lum|nate, Hex, Tarmac, Frodo, Monroe, Merchant, and Purp|e.. these are the most helpful, and best crew a group could ask for... lata all.. see ya next pak -TeK- [x. Footnote by ToiletDuk .x] - Hi. I'm finishing up this month's pack because frodo was so anxious to get it out 3 days early that he didn't wait for people to finish, and so the pack he compiled was incomplete. He also managed to "lose" have the ascii's I did for this month's pack:) - A lot of people this month made their filenames longer than the MSDOS 8.3 format, so if you're using PKZIP for DOS, you will probably see trun- cated filenames, but Winzip for 95/NT, and unzip for Linux/UNIX should unzip fine, and leave the long filenames intact. - I've got a new ftp server up for everyone to upload their packs to, and it's *ALWAYS* up, so we shouldn't have any more problems collecting the art, as we did in the past, with both Lum and Frodo setting up temporary FTP sites on dynamic IP's in an attempt to give our members a place to drop their art. - The way things are going, it looks like I'll be compiling the 7/97 pack as well, so until next time, don't drink the shampoo, no matter how nice it smells.
