Oki everyone..
I was asked to write an article for the last issue of canvas..
This article will deal with the issue of this copy - the end of the
israeli art scene.
Back when I joined the scene in like may / june 1996 , I really
looked up to it.
There was some really nice atmosphere and (maybe it was even better
before) and I looked up to alot of artists like phanatik , icepick
( he's always been one of my favorite artists in the scene ) , kaz ,
psychoholic slag , mart , nightshadow , sticky ofcourse , and well , others.
I appreciated coders like riff raff , borzom , adept and all the other
guys..in the demo scene.
I also found the demo scene was pretty boring for me so I was never
really active there or anything..Tho I joined cyborg to work with
them on demos/intros .. and its kinda fun , still .
I pretty much started out then , doing logos and shit trying out graphics,
and I thought I was pretty good..
When I looked at other ppl's work in graphics , like true-color , hue,
vlad , sticky baboon , rage guys were really good in graphics..
I could point out ppl like lithium.....his pics just rocked...
gambit , jonny and other guys in rage (sorry if I forgot something.
the vga packs were always good)..
The thing is - even though I heard it was even better in the times before-
back then , the scene was pretty much full of active artists to look up to,
there were art groups , there were fun ppl to talk with , looking
now at liquid's message base from that time it was in better shape,
alot of discussions , psycho beaver was a fun board with messages , alot
of files and a cool feeling .
I also liked diesel power...I spent hours talking to icepick (nowdays caviar)
on the board , it was really really fun.
Movement96 was good...very good even.
I looked at the entries and they were real fine..and above.
The 2d vga compo was real nice , the 3d wasnt that bad either..I
was really excited back then when I took 2nd. It ment alot more to me
back then , then when I took 1st place (TOO easily unfortantly  , with
almost no competition at all ) , in millenium .
Look at it now - The israeli scene is dead .
Most of the guys I've mentioned above are not active anymore.
We have NO other vga artists other then me , that are active or at least
that I hear of.
Gambit is making some sort of a comeback..thats nice..but its just one :(
Jonny and MMX are working on a project for ritual...that is something
to look for though.
(Who knows what ritual will look like , its so sad for me to say that since
I'm one of the organizers) .
So..
Almost none of those do art anymore , vlad left , true color left ,
hue and riff raff still hold sync but both are real busy tho...
lithium left.
phanatik hardly does ansis anymore.
sticky quit ansis..
caviar wont draw much more..if at all..:( maybe some for the fuel packs.
Hopefully.
kaz , martz and ps are not drawing asciis anymore .
Firestorm left the scene recently.
Purify quit...said he was doing a comeback...but I guess that wont
happen eventually? dunno....no point in coming back to a dead scene.
It's been long since I've heard from Metal Militia.
I heard he had a crash or something..:(....But anyway he's not
seen around lately ...
NightShadow left for the demo scene , I hope he's having more fun there.
Those things are not negetive..they are natural.
BUT no good artists replaced them.
There were a few decent and above ansi artists...and some real good ones..
That are now active mainly in fuel basic and such ... But it's less ppl
and it's REALLY not the same feeling.
Instead of new good , talented guys , NEW IDIOTS , JERKS AND COMPLETE
FOOLS came along.
The art boards I was talking about ? they are closed , all of them .
Psycho Beaver is closed probably forever (anyway riff raff wont
be sysoping it anymore thats for sure) , liquid is closed , RIGHTFULLY ,
we'll get to that too , diesel power was closed due to several reasons,
some are obvious , yeah , you guys never called , thats one .
And all of that part of the scene (and it's a major and important one)
, is GONE .
Millenium was the worst demo party till now , yeah , they ment good,
and demo parties are good and important..but this really wasn't it.
It SUCKED , MAJORLY . :( . And the level of the compos was beneath
any reasonble quality control rate. hmm...not very well phrased but
you got the point of the way I feel.
Messages in liquid - liquid was always a fun message base for me -
YES THERE WERE alot of dumb discussions , it was all part of the
special feeling I guess..
BUT there were alot of important and good discussions...ALOT
alot of important points were raised...ppl if you dont think I'm right
go to oatbran and ask him for the message base .
Recently - it was GAY BEYOND ANYTHING A HUMAN BEING CAN TAKE.
WHAT WOULD YOU THINK of a message such as - "I'm a total dumbass!! :)
I'm have nothing to do in life!!!! :) "
Tomahock - Next time when someone is trying to help you take that
help with 2 hands and dont fucking ruin it with your stupidity.
Guess you couldn't do it.
True I told you to call liquid , I didnt know how FUCKING DUMB you are ,
You totally trashed the message base with shit , oh not to talk
about the oneliner...
You also didnt understand when the staff warned you to STOP.
You could take time to think of it and of ps's point in locking yew out
,but instead you had the fucking NERVE to blame ME for that , and accusing
me of FUCKING YOU OVER BY TELLING YOU TO CALL LIQUID AS IF I WANTED
YOU TO GET OUT ON PURPUSE.. (at least that's what I gathered from your
message to me in Xplosion..) .
YOU'RE A FUCKING JERK , I hope you'll get some sense when yew grow up.
Too bad you already started ripping.
Oh well , I guess that talent comes with a brain and ripping comes
with excess stupidity.
another example of the message base :
"well I really dont have an opinion about anything I just write
coz I'm bored".
There were like 2 or 3 of those a day of ppl who defended their point
by abandoning it and declaring themselves idiots.
It's not worth to run a board when stuff go like that.
Sorry , liquid was a great board , the best in israel , ppl like
tomahock , solarium and others simply ruined it with their dumb
remarks and actions.
And the microsoft sux?? issue was REALLY ****OVERDONE**** , I WOULD
SAY , there were about 500 messages ore more , about this topic .
AND 300 OF THEM SAID THE SAME .
Holograph - I aint coming to diss yew , yew dont deserve it I guess -
But you had a big part in making the message base , umm , well ,
boring and pointless...;( ...
I used to read your messages but in the last 2 months liquid was
active I just ignored them....coz they were BORING and POINTLESS.
You said them like 1000000000 times when one was more then enuff for me.
in general , the whole message base became repititive.
It was boring , ugly and USELESS.
Liquid is closed now , there are alot of ppl that caused this to happen .
(of course ob was a sysop for a long time and eventually got bored..).
Sorry to say that , I'm probably nobody to judge other ppl , but come on
this was really too much .
The amount of boring , talentless ppl who joined the scene was huge.
when was the last time in the last let's say 3 months that really good
artists came into the scene ? When did you see that last ?
You didnt , coz nobody is here to take the previous ppl's place .
Instead of that we get ppl with the IQ of an ant , that only annoy
others and make themselves look gay and being humilated.
Thats no fun.
Alot of ppl got WAYYYYYYYYYY too enthusiastic and really changed their
attitude after a few months in the scene.
Stillborn - yew used to be a talkitive person - too bad something
really got tew much into yer head and you totally freaked out.
That's not cool or something - yew were just being pathetic .
All those dumb remarks and shoutings didn't add anything to yew .
You could have concentrated more in your art , that would be cool .
Too bad.............I think you just got carried away . Coz I used
to talk to yew and yew were ok .
The IRC (#972 specificly) really got boring and disgusting..
Lately..
All of those lame arguments and all of those lame takeovers...HOW MUCH
can it be taken?
That psychomorphic dude really deserves a bad word in this E-mag ,
Yeah , he caused damage , you might not want to admit it , but he did .
He caused the scene alot of damage.....we DIDN'T ignore him , we got
pissed , we got annoyed , we got desperate of this shit , and
we got bored and sick of it . Alot of it was coz of him .
Perhaps we payed him too much attention , btw it was exactly what
he wanted.
If you would all just LEAVE when he took over he would understand
nobody gives a fuck and he'd LEAVE . To his pointless life..
He is probably the gayest and most dorky and dislikable person I've
ever seen .
A word for you psychomorphic - Dont go on celebrating , nobody is doing
anything because of yew - yew are lame , lifeless and a crappy
piece of shit - you will always be like that - there's no hope for you.
Other ppl were lame and dumb too - they were pointless to talk with ,
no getting into their little heads .
It REALLY crossed any line of sanity :( .
The scene is currently in bad shape , I think unrevivble . sorry .
It's time to end this all...And some ppl have the right to do it.
IT'S DEAD. PERIOD . NO POINT IN ARGUING . JUST NO POINT .
I ain't going to waste my time PROTECTING MY CHANNEL in IRC
(did you guys notice we are now fighting , actually FIGHTING with
the warez scene? traders and stuff...
I never thought it would come to that...Laughing at them was always
fun but look how close and ugly they are now..all of this hoziris..
and bsphere...and all the rest..).
Hoziris - yew lame trader. No I have no respect for yew - why should I?
And YES I HAD EVERY RIGHT TO TELL YOU TO FUCK OFF #972 - IT WUZ OUR CHANNEL
- NOT YOURS , WE FORMED IT - YOU SHOVED IN- you always get into places
you're not wanted at - that just proves how fucking gay you are -
just like most of the traders in israel and all of that lame group
shock you're friends with . You are one of the most pathetic idiots
I've ever seen , when will yew guys learn IRC is for chatting and
not for bugging other ppl .
Same goes to you BIOSPHERE , I dont call having the power to takeover
or having a LINUX as POWER or any such thing.
It's all dumb - You saw exactly what I can do with linux - You're no

not as lame as yew tho .
A word for you twistgrip - you're a backstabber , an idiot and a talentess

So is everyone who helped psychomorphic and hoziris and everyone
who took #972...or whuddever.
The GOOD thing is the way I think about it now - who cares?
That saves me alot of headaches for the future- go have fun do what you want.
Don't expect to get into any art group though. 
Guys like you are always good to blame. You're lame .. real lame .
I'm not going to waste my time FIXING  a message base with replys to every
stupid message trying to make a point that keeps coming back .
Also not going to revive something pretty , well , hopeless.
I hope the demo scene and CFX is doing better..
Sorry not my thingy ... never found it real interesting. (The demo scene,
that is ) .
So we pretty much lost everything...I can't think of any positive sides left.
I am writing it coz others feel the same .
So goodbye everyone it was kinda fun..once.
