ŚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄæ ³ Introduction ³ ĄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄŁ DoxViewer is a utility for observing text-based artwork. DoxViewer was written because my belief is that ALL art groups, even small groups that are just starting out, should have a viewer for their work. If a group can draw it, they ought to be able to display it. Help support this theory and who knows, it could become a standard! Although, I am very sorry to say that I haven't had enough time to add support for our vga files. The current version of DoxViewer has had well over 500 hours of work put into it. Not only do I have too little time to upgrade it, but I'm also sick of working on it! ŚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄæ ³ DoxViewer ³ ĄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄŁ DoxViewer is made up of three main parts: the user interface, the viewer, and the menu bar. The three parts were written for maximum ease of use. Brouse through the current directory in on UI using the arrow keys and select a file/directory. To view a file or change to a directory you simply press Enter. Distinguishing between files and directories is simple, directories are labeled and there is a small icon to the left of the file name you may glance at. For a complete listing of shortcut-keys and commands see the list below. After pressing Enter to view a file, you will be looking at the contents of that file. Files in formats ANSI, ASCII, and BINARY will be automatically displayed as images and other files will be treated like text files and simply written. To scroll up or down over an image you may use the arrow keys. Press Escape or Enter to return to the UI. To access DoxViewer's options and other features you must use either the menu bar or a shortcut-key. Shortcut-keys are displayed to the right of a command on some menus. To access the menu bar you can press Alt-n, where n would represent a letter that is highlighted on the menu bar to select that specific menu, or you may press F-10 and select a specific menu. Select a menu with the left and right arrow keys and then view that menu by pressing Enter or Down(arrow). You can scroll though the menus choices by using the arrow keys. To select a command simply press Enter or n, n would be a letter that is highlighted on the menu itself. To toggle choices on the menus press Space or Enter. (Enter will also close the menu) To close the menu bar and return to the UI, press Escape. That's it! Enjoy! ŚÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄæ ³ Additional keys ³ ĄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄŁ Additional keys supported by DoxViewer are: Home - Returns you to the top selection in a menu or the UI, and returns you to line 1 while viewing an image. End - Returns you to the last selection in a menu or the UI, and returns you to the last line of an image while viewing. (NOTE: DoxViewer detects where the end of an image is rather than moving directly to line 409) PgUp - Decrements your current selected position by one window-full while viewing a file, a menu, or navigating the UI. PgUp - Increments your current selected position by one window-full while viewing a file, a menu, or navigating the UI. Alt-X - This shortcut-key is used to exit DoxViewer.
