Welcome to the Bamboosh January Pack!
                                         
Happy New Year, Miss Sophie! Can you believe it? We're now in
the year 1997, and this is the 9th pack from Bamboosh. This, and
      the upcoming packs, will be sort of happy-happy packs, if you
      know what we mean. This is the new-year pack, next one will be
      the 10th(!) pack of Bamboosh. After that we will have a regular
pack, and then, the one-year anniversary pack of Bamboosh.. 
      Makes you feel kind of high, huh? So we all have some good times
to look forward to. From all of us, to all of you (as good old   
Walt Disney said), Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Lot's of stuff has changed in the group this month, we'll
      try to brief you in the most important stuff that has been going       
      on this last month.                 

As always, we usually get a lot of apps, and this month was no
exeption. As a reminder, the people who applied last month was
Caithor, Head Monk and Ezy. Caithor joined Fusion instead, a
bit sad, because he is very talented. But by all means, we respect
his decision. On the other hand, Head Monk decided to stay, together
with Ezy! That's very positive, we got two new members, both from    
 Sweden. Head Monk and Ezy will both be doing ansi for the group. 
We may have written somthing like this in the last pack too, but
it was a bit unclear whether they had joined or not. If we're
repeating ourselves, well... all apoligies ;)
                    
As some of you maybe have heard, Pyx had a bit of a surprise
for the rest of the members this month. The effect of the
 surprise is unknow, but to Pyx it is a very positive thing 
that this thing has happened, and for the rest of the members too.

If you haven't seen much to Intellius lately, that's not so strange.
He has been very busy, preparing for exams, but now as he's finished,
and back in business, expect to have a hard time getting sleep 
at night. Darklord and him are now the main organizing, consentrating
on each of their fields. Darklord is the one with most spare time
nowadays, you want to get in touch with us, get in touch with him!
Pyx will NOT be quite available in a while now... Just 
before Christmas, he was given a holiday! From: The Navy To: Pyx      
That holiday is finished in about a day or two. Hah ;-)
      

New members this month:

Groove - 16 year old artist from Finland, he will be joining
us in the front line of the Bamboosh ansi forces. He has some
other affils too, and can be reached at groove@planet.fi for
requests/fanmail/mailboms :-) That reminds us... we've got
to put up a list of all the members' emails... gah.. next
pack! 

Viper joined us this month. Surprise! Pyx got Viper in Bamboosh, 
 when they met at a party last saturday. Viper has been in the army 
for about six months now, so they haven't had much contact.
These two guys have been in the same group earlier, so this is
      a very happy reunion! The thing Viper will be doing, is to 
draw VGA and to create music, two positions we have lacked for a
long, long time in Bamboosh. Viper is 20 years old, and very
talented. He has got lots of experience, and has drawn
and made music for a long time now. The first task he will 
be taking care of, is to draw a few things for our WEB. We need 
some new design there, so to put Viper on this, is perfect.
But you haven't heard the best part yet, read about the great
work done by Viper further out in this newsfile.

The ftp, is the cool art-scene site ftp.cdrom.com, you will find
it in the dir listed in BMB-0197.NFO. 
Also, the fastest way of getting requests done or apps answered will now
be to post them in an e-mail to the new e-mail address, or upload it to
tbakkevi@sn.no. If you don't have an email adress, leave your      
application form at the WHQ, Optical Illusion, and notify one of
the (co)sysops, Intellius or Phobic.
Yet again, intellius has done an improvement of the applier, 
 the bmb-app.exe is included in this pack. Please use it, and 
please...use it in the appropriate way. Rename the file as 
instructed in the applier.
      It makes our lives miserable getting applies and requests in
 short msg'es on bbs' all over europe. Use the bmb-app 
and follow the instructions if you really want to contact us!

      Ahh...Christmas is over, and woha, it's been busy days, we can
tell... Everyone in the group has become fatter, and the pack has
grown (as always :-) Bamboosh has also grown, with new members
and new boards, which is very positive. 
Tektronix hasn't been a gamer this pack, and he has aslo moved into 
the ascii section! Check it out, it's his first ascii pieces.
Phobic is on vacation or something, or maybe he's sleeping?
The main contributor this month, is Pyx and Head Monk! Head Monk
has made a whole lot of cool ansis, and Pyx has made big ansis
      this time. Check them out. Groove and Darklord's stuff has         
been put in collys this time, real neato. We have
unfortunately not had so much contact with our three friends in
Finland, Hash, Phane and Strode, so there is no contribs from
them this pack :-( Nevertheless, Intellius strikes with a
new version of the Bamboosh Applier and a totally
ass-kicking Manga-ansi. Check it out in VGA man!

This month, Bamboosh presents to you, our first musicdisc!
It is called Retrospective, and it is all made by Viper, our new
musican and graphican! This is the first piece of music we 
officially have released, and it shows that we mean business.
The disc has been put together with the familiar MDP from the
old Future Crew, and it contains five .S3Ms, varying from 
hardcore, trance to progressive house! This is a very promising
start for Viper as he takes his first step into the world
of Bamboosh, uhm..err...what the fuck are we talking about? ;-)
      Hope you'll enjoy, we certainly did!

New boards this month: 

 The first board we got, was a board called exodo, located in South
 America. It will be our Argentinian headquarter now! We got lots
  lots of nice boards from all over the world this month, and the next
  one was Distortion, now our Dutch headquarter. The board that probably
 made us wet our pants this time, was the Electric Cube, our 
Bahrainian headquarter. Bahrain is a small island, just north of
Quatar, in the Persian Gulf... And that is, undescussable, COOL :-)
Deep Space became our Russian headquarter, with two nice 33k6 nodes,
and Shadow-Two is our Yoguslavian headquarter. We have also made a 
change with the boards in Switzerland. The Underworld is now out       
  Swiss headquarter, instead of The Nocturnal Trip, as we stated in 
the latest pack. The reason for this, is that The Underworld was
site when we had a Swiss HQ, so it's just proper to put it up as HQ 
when the old HQ went down. The Underworld is running on three
nodes and ISDN.

A thing to also be aware of, is that Optical Illusion, BMB WHQ, 
is now running under 33k6 speed! Horray :-)

   during the Christmas vacation, maybe Pyx will be at home too? "

  been very prospective for us, and there has been nothing more 
      then positive things happening all the time! New members,                
new boards, new optimism, a musicdisc...ahh.. it feels quite
   fantastic! We are very grateful that you out there, calling
our boards, writing us mail, etc, are giving us such great
support. Thank you very much! Remember, "Bamboosh loves you"
as Head Monk says :-)
