Hey, welcome to the second Rival pack of 1996.  Last month
wasn't a very big triumph for Rival, considering the pack pretty much
blew chunks, but this month is a BIG difference, which you will be 
able to judge through your viewing pleasure.  Last month highlights
include no fileid.diz, which was a brain storm by myself=), no NFO 
file, which I can also be accredited to, and no quality control.  Over
all, it was a goOd month=)  This month however has many changes, for 
the good pretty much.  Kid Krylon (ky-) has decided to leave his life
behind him for the good of Rival, and take reign in his previous 
senior position.  Flip Side, or 27, has also been promoted to 
seniority.  Flip Side has previously been known as Fear from the older
Rival days, where he also was a senior.  So welcome back both of you.
Dealing with the ansi section, Phaedrus steps down from his position
as ansi coordinator to pursue a more pleasurable life collecting silk
from his worm farm.  Phaedrus continues to draw for Rival, and 
promises to have great work for Rival next month.  Next, Jaded has
overthrown the madness and taken position as ascii coordinator.  He is
doing a great job so far, making an 3l337 ascii division amongst 
Rival.   Prong, that wacky tribal warrior has moved up to VGA 
coordinator, while Tre-Bone steps down to take on the WorldWideWeb 
site for Rival that should be done soon.  Rival is still looking for
a rip coordinator.  
Rival has taken a step towards the better, and gained a few
great members.  First off, we take the pleasure of welcoming
Nightblade to Rival, supplying us with his ansi fUnk and phOnts.  Pune
Tang joins Rival, drawing great ansi pics.  Pune Tang is raw talent
that hasn't been abused by any other group yet.  We are honored to be
the first to abuse him=).  Kargus also joins Rival, coming to us from
the small group of Order.  Kargus is going to be walking his ass to
the mall to jack some comics reeaaal soon so that he can draw again,
AREN'T you Kargus?:)  Next comes the 3l337 ass key section.  Cain
has come to Rival, sharing his talent with Basic, and his own group
Oasis.  Endless Nameless joins Rival ascii coming from Wicked from
days back.   Some neato guy names Seige came to #Rival one day,
threatening me with small voodoo curses unless I let him run a Rival
modding division.  This division is still in the works, so it might
be a while before you see any releases.  The name for this division is
yet to be released as well:)  Last but not least we welcome Dark
Warrior, coming to Rival from CIA telecom.  Dark Warrior also 
specializes in HTML and JAVA.  Welcome to Rival everyone.
Now for the bad news.  Rival has lost a few members.  R3ptile
leaves Rival, insisting that we are just too goOd for him.  Its okay
though, we have learned to deal with that over the years=).  Spear has
also left Rival, continuing his voyage to join every group in the 
scene before puberty.  Veediot never really knew he was in Rival, so
when questioned, he claims the 5th.  Trip has also decided to leave
Rival for the good of Apathy.  We miss yoO guys:~(  yeah whatever=)
Anywayz, you are all welcome back if you change your minds...
Look for Rival special releases in every pack.  We include a
WAV file representing each month.  This month look for 'CNCAPP.EXE'
and Jaded's Request Machine.  Enjoy the pack, and on to the next

Greetings...and welcome to the april 1996 rival pack...First off, I must
      apologize to the group as a whole, for my absence and disregard for 
      my responsibility during the release of the last pack, and the most of 
 this pack.  I am, however, back, so hopefully things will go more smoothlythan they have in the last couple of months.  I'll be taking some of the
responsibility off Stone Amnesia's hands, so hopefully the group will be
  more efficient.  Anyways, with that said, let me also say, that its good
      to be back.  The group seems to on the up & up, and I'm quite proud of
      the effort that our members are putting into the packs.  Anyways, Stone
Amnesia is on my ass to finish this up, so he can release the pack.  So,
I'll see you all next month...

     Ok uhm, Ian asked me to help him write this info file, so I said 
 of course I would because he is a silly little fool.  Well, I guess
since I'm the ascii coordinator, I'll talk about the ascii section,
atleast that won't be complete bullshit on my half.  So far, we are
very small, only like, 5 members, but we are elite!&$  I'm really 
into finding new ascii artists on the scene that are super elite
because they don't get corrupted like alot of other artists who join 
in on this thing we call a scene.  But apply today for rival ascii,
unless that is, if you ph33r our eliteness.  Also this month I decided
that I'm not going to take many /msg'd requests just to piss you sluts
 off, instead you have to use the Jaded Ascii Request Machine, because
it shows my crappy QuickBasic styles, and it makes a nice infoform so
I know how to get to you or something.  Just thought I'd let you know
that.  And for those of you still in the dark, this is nero, I changed
my handle along time ago, but I never announced it in a file really.
So, what else, oh yes, if this pack was out too late, we're sorry
but we're a bunch of lazy fucks, and we can't do anything on time.  
One more thing, it was going to be a secret, but Rival and Cancer were
going to have a Duel.  But, well, they died after they released, so I
guess we can't do that thing anymore.  Well I'm sorry, but I can't 
think of anymore crap to fill your eyes (no not your ears yer not 
reading outloud are you whore?)  So I'm going to leave you now.

  Hey y'all, prong here.  I'm liking the look of this pack, and I think
rival has come a long way since the last one.  VGA is looking small,
  although what we have is good, but I went medieval with QC.  Look for
  more rival vga coming pouring in, especially with the web page coming
  up! I'm sure there will be some controversy about the radiohead pic I
  released, it not taking much skill to do, but I thought it necessary to
  do a tribute or something along those lines, and if you still don't
  agree, write it off as an april fool's joke :)  But anyways, rival is
  always looking for up and coming vga artists, so if you think you have
  what it takes, talk to a senior or me on irc, or mail me your stuff!
  If you don't already know, my email is prong@lynx.bc.ca  I'm planning
  on taking rival to the top, where it belongs, so keep the pics coming
  out, and the quality going up!  Hope you all enjoy what there is to see
