OK, we admit it... we did it. Final proof that the majority of av members live in a looney bin has come out at your local movie theatre. Apparently it was completely accurate to how we live, but i wouldn't know cos i haven't seen 12 monkey's yet, so i'll stop making gratuitious references to a film i haven't seen... Looks like the members have gone nuts with the hi-res stuff this month. Krinkle's started with RIP and raytracing, and harlequin's convinced its actually possible to draw art in paintshop pro... considering these guys do the majority of the ansi, you won't find much ansi in this pack. Member Changes A few members changes this month... we wave goodbye to mr schizophrenia. You'll have already seen some of his work in the march acid pack, but cos av releases over 2 months you'll get a double treat of eyecandy from skitzo with his feburary work released here. Good luck with the OS stuff, and when you care to relax and slack off again you're welcome back anytime skitz ;) Also gone is headfuck, cos he has vanished... haven't heard a thing from him lately, so if you're out there and actually want to doodle, get in touch hf! On a nicer note, we've got a few new and not so new guys to welcome. Hellraiser dropped out of contact with us when he lost his modem, but he's back & sporting a stylish new handle - fRG. Stay tuned for his ansi in later packs (like, when he actually gives me some finished stuff...). Also coming in is Cringe, again for the ansi div and again no stuff in this pack due to a typical art passing round SNAFU. Watch for both these guys stuff next pack. Distros Well, because we're prepared to take any art related board as a distro, our distro list has grown out of proportion over the last couple of months. Unlike most groups however, we frankly don't give a toss. If more people want to have our art available as free downloads, we don't have a problem with that... BUT harlequin took over the distro management lately, and then his internet email account died. As a result, he got about a 4meg mail packet when he got it back, and we still haven't finished sorting through all of it... End result? Could all those people who sent us mail about distros be patient. Its not that we're ignoring you, we're just kinda flooded. Coven Demoparty (coming July '96) Well. There's been lots of talk one way or the other about how Oz96  panned out. Some people thought it rocked, others thought it sucked, but everyone reckoned it should happen again. And thus... Coven's back! Yup, another australian demoparty is happening, and you can expect lotsa drunk artists to show up as well. Misc Rambling You'll see that we're lighter on ansi this month than normal. Sorry to the ansi nuts out there but thats what we happened to feel like drawing. We've always been one of the slacker groups around (hell, we're only releasing this pack about 24 days late...), and its something we try hard to maintain. Its pretty pointless to run an art group like a business with quotas of art, and monthly deadlines and all of that gunk... if you want that go join some group with aspirations. If you don't you're welcome with us... we've got this far by just doing art for the hell of it and giving the established artgroup format the finger whenever we feel like it, and there's no reason for us to stop now... Feb & March have been pretty busy months all in all. A few of us got together and made a emag (HMIAM magazine).. others are busy trying to get a web design company going, and in the meant time we all either went back to or started university for the first time... We're moving slowly at the moment while we're still early in the year. We've got an all-australia music disk we're producing which bares all signs of kicking arse.
