It seemed such a long time ago, the time we coul

thing like this.. Who would think it would go th
is fast? I didn't..

It took much energy to make it to what it is right now,
 we spent hours
chatting and chatting, voice and data to achieve
 this.. .
Now, the time is there to go for it,
 release the first pack and hope the
best of it. I would just like to congratulate 
us with our first pack
and thus our 'real' birth

I can't predict the future, but I

The few people who know me a bit more, the guys 
who i think they like me
(and i like them), know that i am an en
thousiastic person. I think i'm
one of the few in the scene. I find too many dud
ez who are just bugging
about that users don't upload, or 
that `you don't know people better t
han
    their handle and the stuff they create'... but i
 think that the scene is
    a wonderfull thing... in fact, i l
ove to be in...

They also know i do much different things, mostl
y with at least a little
success... like.. i am a coder
.. i'm sometimes composing somethin
g... but
    (and that's a point i discovered o
nly one month ago) i can also draw anzee
and azkee.

A cold winterday, middle of january.
 I'm chatting with Thanatos about a
new division in his group (Outway).
 I helped him with a name... but before
i thought of it i said to him i wanted to start an ansi group
. And so we
    did. ACTiON! was born.

I talked to many dudes and some liked to join ACTiON!..
. and we've worked
hard to get the first pack going. Eeej guys
... really thanx.

The first pack is made by Thanatos / 
Lizard / Pino /
 Steel / DomeKeeper
 with ACTiON!nfo by Derange, Gateway
 and Lizard, and ACTiONview by
Skizmo and Lizard.

We've just started to find members who want to c
reate demo's in ACTiON!.
For now we have Missile, Derange, 
Gateway (and me) for code 
and Soul De-
stroyer and Farid for music. I'm n
ot sure if Steel or Pino will do gfx, 
still have 2 contact them.. .

We really, really hate rules.
 But even we can imagine what kinda m
ess it
will be if we didn't had them. So
... On to the rules!

  þ First off, we do allow 
dual grouping, on some conditions:
   -If you do another art medium in anoth
er group you may apply, if you
    want to apply for ansi artist and you are 
already in a group
    where you do ansi: you have to choose...
   
   -If one of the founders of ACTiON! 
(Thanatos/Lizard) ask
ed you to come in:
    please tell them you're in two groups (
if u r) and you can stay in.
    ACTiON! has the right to kick you out of the gro
up if we change this rule.
(but anyway we won't do that i guess
)...

  þ Most ansi groups have a rule like '
quality not quantity', so do we.
       
    ACTiON! has the right to quality check the work 
of our artists. We do
    not have the right to change the artists'
 work in any way to make it pack
    material. Wysiwyg: What You See Is
 What You Get. No addons done by any other    memb
er than the original artist.

  þ Joining ACTiON! is easier than you
 might think. Just fill in APPLY.ANS
     
    and read the last part very carefully. Then uplo
ad the file to one of
    the hq's or uuencode it and email it to G
.Wijnalda@net.hcc.
nl.
    If you can call the WorldHeadquarters,
 please do. It keeps the unity much
    better.

  þ All members have to release at least 1 thing in 1 m
onths. If there isn't
a good reason (like a hd-crash
 or family reasons) the member will be
kicked out of the group. Well, we t
hink it's fair, isn't 
it?

  þ Note: not all issues have been cover
ed in here. It is just an overview
 of some basic issues we feel needed to be addressed.
 As always, there
    are exceptions to rules and ACTiON! can
 handle these exceptions on a
    one to one basis between the founders and the individ
ual to whom the
    problem or exception refers to.

We're just starting out (as you di
scovered) and we have a pack here with
much logo's. We don't care,
 coz we think it's nice. Some of our artis
ts
have just started with ansi (like me)
 and have to learn. So I think every
pack can be better. Ofcoz mayB not,
 but ohwell... who carez =]

We have 8 ansi's, 3
 clusters, 6 askii'
s and 2 jpg's this time,
 and ofcoz
ACT-VIEW.EXE and ACT-
NFO.EXE. ACT-V
IEW will start ACTiON! view, our very
own ansi and ascii viewer. Skizmo could
n't get it working perfect this pack
but we included it anyway. ACT-NFO
 is more than information, you can ask 
for info, but you can also fill in the app
ly form or request art. Check it
out! And before i forget, also 
2 TheDraw fonts are included!

Thanatos, DomeKeeper and Lizard have been very b
usy with their board, so
we couldn't do very much ansi. Als
o Steel had his repetitions on school
so expect more from him next time =]
