Welp, it looks like Rival's April pack, "Two Tricks and a Dimebag" was a huge success wif da art scene people... Many have said, to our surprise, that it was one of the better packs they downloaded for April. We're quite pleased with the response we got from it. It kinda reassures us that we DO have a placein the scene, and makes all fuzzy inside...Uhm, welp, we're glad you enjoyed it,but that's the past...We're about moving forward...So let's move on, no? Intro to May's Pack... As it stands now, I don't have a name for May's Pack... I'll come up  with one later...Hell, It's only April 30th, and the pack isn't due out for  another couple days...But um, I do have most of the art for the pack, and I can honestly say I'm excited about releasing it. It's kinda small this month, but just about everything is bewming with quality. I think that this pack, is even more solid than April's, and I didn't think we'd ever top April's...Um, there's a wide variety of stuff for you to look at, and I have no doubt that you will enjoy this small, but in my opinion, beautiful pack that our artists have workedso hard on...Thanks... Tha Newbies... Woohoo, damn, a lot of new members this month...I sure hope I can  remember them all...Lessee...Ok, first we welcome a d00d by the name of  Dr. Meltdown... He's an ansi artist who comes from a group called ORBiT...He  has a lot of potential and we're happy to be working with him...We also welcome a new ascii artist to our ranks by the name of Airborn...He's in a number of different grewps...ASiA and remorse to name a couple...We also welcome an artistand former founder of VOiD, Weazel...He'll be doing ansi and maybe some rip/vga for us...I hope =)...A guy by the name of Twisted Logic also joins our ranks... He's an awesome ascii artist and upcoming ansi artist...We also has a couple artists join, and then drop all in like 2 weeks time, for reasons of their own. Hrm, I guess that's it...Thought there was more...Oh well, we're happy to have all of these guys with us.... Buh-Byes.... Like, no one left cept those two that joined and dropped...Uhm, Phatal and VEEDiOT...Cool huh? The Oldies... Welp, Rival one again has three seniors...We asked Fear if he'd like to resume his Senior Duties, and he said he did...So it coo...He's once again run- ning shit wif me and Merlin. He's a damn good senior member, and his reinstate-ment should really help the group run smoother...In other news, Phaedrus was  promoted to the position of Public Relations...He'll be the person ya talk to if you're interested in joining...He'll also handle shit like publicity, and will also probably be contributing a lot to Faded in the following months. He'sa staff memba now...Woohoo... Sites & HQ's And Stuff... Ok, Rival has once again decided to accept sites... EXCEPT, we will not be accepting applications for sites... We will be hand picking them... Um, as you may have noticed, a majority of our HQ's were dropped. Why? Uhm, at 6:30 in the morning, I can't particularly remember the reason, but it has something  to do with "cuz they were useless to the group"... Get the picture? Good...So If you are not on the site list, you are not a site or a HQ...Plain and simple.. Looking For New Members... We're always looking for new members...Ansi/Rip/VGA artists especially..We could really use artists in these three departments...VGA and RIP people are highly in demand, due to the fact that we only have two...As far as ascii peoplego, we're accepting ascii guys too, but to be an ascii artist, you MUST be  exceptional at the medium. We don't accept any fakes...No lit people are being accepted...Period...Uhm, we could use another telecom person or two that could submit to our every whim...And at this point, only exceptional coders will be accepted...But if you wish to join, please fill out the appgen and upload the application to beyOnd! We'll review your app and get back to you asap...If we don't get back to you within a couple days, leave either me or Merlin mail on beyOnd.  Rival's Position On Multi-Grouping.... We continue to maintain and stand by our "no multi-grouping" policy for ansi, rip, and vga artists as well as coders. Ascii artists, however, are  permitted to have 4 total ascii affiliations including Rival. Our members' loyalty and dedication is very important to us, as it's one of the main reasons we've come this far. And with it, it will take us even farther. A Word On The Appgen... The current appgen is somewhat outdated...We're not accepting people for a number of the positions the appgen supplies apps for. I didn't have The Hunter update the appgen for the simple fact that I plan on having a new appgen for June's pack. Hopefully.. Heh...Anyways... A Word On The .RIP's... For some reason or another, ACiDViEW(tm) has problems with the two rips included in the pack. On TB-SUSHI.RIP, it shows you the rip and locks up, and on DC-BEYND.RIP, it fucks up completely. They are good pics so if you have  an alternate rip viewer, please do view them. Sorry about this. We're taking steps to correct this =) Thanks... In Closing... Yet another chapter closed. It's May 1995, and Rival has produced it's fifth pack. Some said it wouldn't happen. It seems Rival emerged onto the  scene when there was a sick infestation of new groups. We were often discountedand discarded as being 'another new group of lamers' that will not stick around or become anything in the art community. At one time, it might have been true..But no more. We've worked hard and put forth our best efforts to improve our skills and better ourselves as artists and because of this hard work, we've  risen above all expectations. We've proved that through dedication, loyalty, hard work, and determination, a small/new group can succeed, whatever the odds may be. Each of our artists continually improve, exploring and developing  styles and sharpening their skills and techniques with each new month. And I think that this pack, more than any of our others, proves this fact. I can't  even begin to express in words how proud I am of this group of artists we call Rival. Each and every single one of them has my utmost respect. I'm also  proud of our pack this month. Extremely proud. Until now, April's pack was our best, and in my opinion, this pack is 10x better than April's pack.
