I mean,  fuck, at the beginning of all this, I had hoped that we'd last longer than two or three months, but I didn't really expect to...We've really grown since we released our debut pack in January and all in all, I'd have ta say that the group is just getting better and better. The last month was a difficult one for us...A lot of shit happened tha tjust came out of nowhere and ALMOST knocked us on our asses. We lost a lot of members in the last month and it kind of threw Rival into intensive care. Our first big loss was one of our best artists, Phaedrus. He left Rival for integrity at the beginning of March. Which totally sucked cuz he's a sweet artist and a pretty cool guy too...So we didn't have the pleasure of Phaedrus's  company for the month of March. But it's April 2nd as I write this, and a lot can happen in a 1 month time...So I call Beyond yesterday and Phaedrus leaves a message on the rival public sub saying that rival is where he wants to be... Integrity just wasn't his thang. Eh, we understand, so we welcome him back with open arms...I just hope he decides to stay this time =). Um, all of the couriers left the group. ...If i wasn't a lazy fuck, i'd name all 2 or 3 of em =)...We also give a big buh-bye to The Hoax, who has also been with us from day 1...He was our 1 main ascii artist. Um, he left to dedicate more time  to his obv/2 modding group, "obx". It was kinda a shocker when he left and it kinda fucked our day up when he told us, but he still our nig and we wish him the best of luck with obx. Oh yeah, Fear left for a brief 2 week period too. = )I didn't quite understand the exact reason he left, but I think it was cuz he was just stressed out and needed a breather...But he's back, and thass all that counts. I think thass it for the dearly departed. I dunno...Who cares. I don't know if it's cuz we suck, or if it's cuz people just have better shit to do, but nobody's really applying to our humble group =) But we did pick up one new ansi artist. His name be The Undead Sorcerer, and he's an awesome artist that comes to us from Shiver. His shit is pretty fly and I can't say how happy we are to have him working with us. He joined at the end of March, so there might not be anything from him in THIS pack, but expect some  kick ass stuff from him in May's pack. Thass it fer new members y'all. Kinda  sad when you really think about it...Yeah, so if you're an artist that is looking for a new home, apply to Rival. We're always looking for Ansi, Rip, an dVGA artists. We dropped the lit section, and we're probably not going to have an ascii section from here on in. If there's ascii in the pack, it's cuz one of our ansi/rip/vga artists got hellabored and decided to do some ascii =) Anyways, apply and join to rival...You'll get a free donut or something. Damn, this newsletter is just getting longer and longer. Heh, I can't help it, a lot of shit happened since rival 3/95 was released. We had some major staff changes. For one, K-os and Fear are no longer seniors. Me and Merlin are pretty much running shit now. Um, Turmoil was promoted to Ansi Coordinator. K-Os has taken the position of Scout Coordinator, which means he's in charge of getting all of you people to join Rival =). Damn March was a hectic month, which made us had to restructure our administration. But it's working out, so it's all good. Ok, that takes care of all the group buisness I think. Too much shit happened to keep track of. =) Anyways, moving on to what is sort of my commentary on the group (Always gotta get my opinion known...=) ). Welp, let's see. A lot happened with Rival. Phaedrus left, phaedrus came back. Fear left, Fear came back. A few others left, and didn't come back. The group now is now headed by only two seniors instead of four. Um, and all in the first two weeks of march. I can definitely say it was a nervous  two weeks. Oh yeah, we almost merged too. Damn, when it rains.... We figured we had a pack to produce regardless of all the bullshit. Once we got in that mind frame, shit started to change fer us. Um, Undergrown #8 came out and gave us our first pack review, and the reviews were good. Um, Undergrown also rated us #10 in tha top 10 column. That recognition helped give us a new wind ta work our asses off and try to produce the best pack we've  ever released. And I think we've done that. Every single artist has improved a lot since the release of rival 3/95. And dear old Phaedrus came back. This kinda made my day cuz he's one of my favorite artists on the scene. All in all, it's been a month full of new experiences for us. I'm proud that we were able to deal with em and produce a pack such as this one. I hope y'all  like it. Lates. Oh shit, before I forget, I guess I better mention that the lit sectio nwas dropped. Why? Cuz we kinda just felt like it =) And please don't ask for  distros or HQ positions...I hate telling people that we're not accepting em cuz they take it all personally and shit....Like I said, we lost all of our couriers so we're probably going to have to restructure the hq positions, distros, etc. Cewlio wif you?Um, last but not least, we had some name changes.
