Love not Lost

(Stars wept soft and tears felt true
as I spoke, that bright and cloudy day.)
"I enjoyed the times I spent with you
and loved you in every way.
I've never asked for much from us
And all I want is thee, this morn.
But now we are so close, and thus
I can't help but feel heart-torn.
You've known the struggles I've been through
And the sorrows in my heart.
I've tried to question the emotions we knew
That were bound to tear us apart.
Love never lasts? I beg to differ
I've given to you my all..
And the irony shall never keep me bitter:
The fact that it's not your fault.
Remember that you sent me the very best
Of the memories I will save.."
(Carefully I laid to rest
The flowers on her grave.)
