The Broken Ladder. A girl, by a man attempting to read, has fallen. The girl, by no other standards, has lost. Down one step, on his ladder of respect she has gone. An object once held in high regard, now lays waist, too rotten to ignore. One day the peace will crumble, and crash in on his head. He fears that day has come, and that the hope has fallen. All 'round his feet, he sees the pain, the loss, and the darkness. Weakly stuggeling, he finds he can not break free. The fear has come back, seeing nothing within. Tormented, his heart can sense the presence of pain, and of sorrow. Seeing the pain his head spins, feeling the chill he wanders. Needing to be alone he slowly splits away. Her sainthood slowly fading, she darkens in his mind. Lost... But never to be forgotten she must, and now remains. The fallen angel doesn't know her plight, she senses nothing. %tg«.raid%
