Gaze I stand on the edge of the cliff, reflecting upon the past The clouds roll streamed and beautiful, the sky is open and vast. With the roaring wind and waves, the shore beckons me below It calls me mighty and proud, "it is time for you to go." The rocks are sharp and jagged, sure to crack my skull, The pain I feel is so intense, and it brings my heart to dull. All is lost and I cannot trace, my steps from where I've come, I begin to perspire from the warm summer sun, my body begins to numb. Sleep was the answer, would lock away fears and calm me with it's ways, But awaking you see, was twice the more painful, relief was just a phase. I hold my arms high and pretend like a bird, hoping I would soon take flight, The blazing sun starts to set, soon it will be night. I take a step closer the ground becoming present, another my doom shall be Death as it seems, so quick and painless, has become a reality. "Hey, let's go, the party's going to start, and everyone wants you there," My friend grabs me, we hop in the car and the moaning wind grabs my hair. œiterature by Stoner [CiA]
