Harvest Moon - By: Orpheus -------------------------- Every Night, while people sleep, A single tear; the moon will weep, For her dying love, the sea, so blue; Who's leaving without farwell; adieu. She loved him with her entire soul, Now without him, she is not whole. Since he, to her, was chance to cope, But still, alone, her light lacks hope. Alone, in a darkened sky, she sits, Even though all of the others quit. She still believes that he will rise, And then their shining light will prize. The sky will, soon be theirs once more, And darkness will, no longer roar. The sky'll be bright; without the sun, It will be then, that her sacred work is done. -------------------------------------- Written on Thursday, August 17th, 1995
