True Anarchy You've all seen writing on walls, desks, etc. saying something to the point of "Fuck the World, Anarchy Rules," yet few people realize what they mean by anarchy. By definition, it is "Absence of any form of political authority." That means there is no authority that governs over any particular individual. The word anarchy comes from the Greek word anarkhia, meaning without a ruler. Anarchy has been used for hundreds of years in many societies. It has succeeded, and it has failed. For an anarchistic society to work, it involves cooperation on all parts. People all have to be willing to work and share all they reap equally, with everyone. Stores have to be run, not to make a profit, but to provide goods at the price at which it costs to make them. As an example, about 50 years ago in, I believe Wisconsin, an anarchistic society was formed. Their store was based on the same principle, the cost of goods should be directly proportionate to the amount of time it takes to produce them, and this should be the main determining factor. Other factors might include the risk of getting the goods (for instance, having to hunt for a bear to get a bearskin rug.), or the skill that is involved in producing the goods. Another main aspect of this society is that all people have a say in how the community is run. All decisions are reached by voting, and can be changed by the same procedure. That's it, I hope you have a better understanding of anarchism, and its true definition. It is yet a theory mostly, but with the right people, it can become a reality.
