"A Pope's predictions" The future... the unknown. We all wonder about what the future will hold in store for us. The following is the predictions made by Pope John XXII who was pope from 1958 to 1963. His diaries were discoverd very recently and have found to contain many predictions that he has made for the future. "The world will suffer through a painful period of violent wars, deadly famine and destructive natural disasters over the next eight years, but that nightmare will be followed by a lengthy stretch of love and harmony - a beautiful, serene Heaven on earth." These were the words made by Pope John, they describe the future here on earth and what will be come of it. But he has not only predicted the future but many events that actually happened. He wrote in his diaries or the virgen Mary visited him often to tell him of future. He wrote predicted the assassination of John F. Kennedy, America's plunge into the Vietnam War, unrest in the Middle East and the fall of communism years before they took place. The most interesting of his predictions though are for the future. He writes: "Finally, a wondrous miracle will take place in the sky above New York City on December 25, 2000, when millions will witness the sensational appearance of a messiah who will announce the new beginning of a second paradise here on Earth."
