WelcometotheSeptembereditionoftheVisionsofRealityartwork.
TheVisionsofRealityartpackisarepresentativeoftheartworkthathas
beenmadeasadvertisementsforbulletinboards(orothergroups)byVisions
ofRealitymembers.Thispackhasbeengoingoutmonthly,eversincefallof
1993.Thepackisonlyarepresetativeoftheartworkthathasbeenusedas
advertisements,andallworkbyartistsmayormaynotbeincluded.This
fileistotogivethevieweroftheVisionsofRealitypacketinformationas
towhathasgoingoninthegroupforthepastmonth.Thisincludesmajor
news,additionsofmembers,andgeneraltalkaboutVisionsofReality:

þThemajoreventofthemonthwastheleavingofthreemajor
musiciansinRealityWaves(RAW),theVisionsofRealityMusicSub-Group.
ThethreepeoplethatleftwereDarkWolf,Muttonhead,andAceof
Northwall.RAWhadmostlybeenbasedonthemusicofthesethreemusicians
inthepastmonth.DarkWolfandMuttonheadbothleftRAWwhentheywent
tocollege,inthemiddleofthemonth.Technicallytheyarestillinthe
group,theyjustwantbeabletoproducenearlyasmuch.AceofNorthwall
leftonquitedifferentcircumstances.Aceleftforseveralcompiling
reasons.Aceprimarilyfeltthatwithschoolandbandcomingup,hewould
nothavethetimetospenddoingmusicforacomputergroup.Aceisnowin
agroupcalledNPi,whereheisworkingonhiscodingskills.Duringthe
monthofAugust,wedecidedthatmaybeitwastimeforRAWtopasson-to
die.So,weputthemodsandmtmsofthemonthintotheVORpack.Butthe
musicwastakinguptoomuchspaceandwascreatedtoohugeofapack.So
thenwedecidedtotrytosalvageit.TheexistingmembersareHollow
Point,Pluto,DarkWolf,Muttonhead,andPizzaDude.However,wehave
decidedtogoona"campaign"togetmoremembers.Hence,theRAWpackhas
beendelayeduntilfurthernotice,untilwefeelthatweareonceagain
strongenoughtoshowagoodpack.


SpecificsofEachIndivualSectionoftheMonth:

þTheANSIsectionhasbeensteadilyimprovingthesepastfew
monthswithartistssuchasScythe,SilverRat,HollowPoint,LordScarlet,
andquiteafewothers.Thismonth,theANSIsectionhaspickedupafew
additionalmemberstohelpwiththeworkload.ThesemembersincludeThe
Dog,Spam,ZenophobusandBrightShadow.Allofthesemembershavework
showcasedintheVORpackthismonth.TheDogisoutofthe703areacode
andstartedoutwithcartooncharacterswhilerecentlygraspingshading.
SpamisoutofTexasandlookslikearapidlyimprovingansiartist.
Zenophobusisoutof301andisalsoacartoonartist.BrightShadowwas
recruitedmainlyforfontworksforspecificjobs.

þOverintheVGAsection,severalbigeventstranspired.Venom,
ourVGAHead,washitwithanastyvirusthatcausedhimtoformathishard
drive.Duetothatincident,andavacationhehadtaken,Venomwon'thave
anyworktoshowforinthepack.Ingoodnews,theVGAsectionhaspicked
upHros(alsoinUNION)andSonicEnigma(alsoinSHIVER)tohelpwiththe
VGAsection.Ackmankeepsimprovingwithhisfirstoriginalpicturefora
VGAthismonth,andDarkWolfhasventuredintotheHighResolution
realms.InquisitorThrax,whohasbeenawaywithoutamodemhas
re-appearedwithtwopieces.Calypsohasdroppedoutofthescenefora
while.Hestillplanstolurkaroundandturninapieceeveryonceina
whilethough.Thismonthheturnedintwopieces.

þTheripsectionhasit'sfirstRIP.TheRIPsectionisour
weakestsection,andwewillhonestlyacceptanyonewhocandoanyRIPat
thispoint.WeonlyhavetwoRIPartists,RaistlinMajereand
Shatterstar.Raistlincompletedaquickiefontearlyinthemonthforthe
packandhadbeenworkingonananotherripforafewweeks,butraninto
someotherproblems.ShatterstarisstillgettingthefeelforRIPsand
hasbeenbusywithotherthingsaswell.

þInthecodingdepartment,SinisterOutlawreleasedaloaderusing
theartworkofShadowdancer,LordScarlet,andamodfromHollowPoint.
LiefO'PardyupdatedIlluminatetoextrememeasuresnowincludingatitle
screen,ANSI->SVGAmodes,amongotherthings.AbsoluteZerowasalsopicked
upthismonthtohelpcodegifsintoloaders.

þOurcourierdivisionhasalsoincreased.Althoughonlyafew
courierswerepickedup,everyoneofourdistroscannowbecourieredto
eitherviatheinternetorviathecouriers.OurnewcouriersareTyrus
Sithius,TheKrazyLittlePunk,andPlasmatoid.

þThereisnolitinthismonth'spack.No,wedidn'tkilltheLIT
division,butrather,thelitheadhasthoughtofabetterwaytorelease
thelit.This"project"shouldbedonewithinthenextfewweekstomaybe
amonthandwillbereleasedwithavorpack.Thisideawasthoughtupso
thatthepeoplewholikelitcaneasilyaccessit,andthosewhodon't
won'thavetobitchaboutit.

þInsummary,thishasbeenanothergoodmonthforVOR,especially
consideringthecircumstances.Justabouteveryoneinthegrouphasgone
onvacationsometimeoranotherduringthemonth.Someofourmembershave
beenhavepersonalproblems(that'swhatyougetwhenyoutrytohavea
lifeoutsideofcomputers,heh)andourvgawasvirii'edwithanastyvirus
fromafakerelease.Still,wehaveahugepacktoshowforthemonthand
thingsseemalrightfornow.
