[?7húū Visions of Reality Information Packetúū August Pack, Nineteen Nighty-FourHere, once again, is the Visions of R eality pack. The Visionsof Reality pack is a representative of the artwork that has been madeas advertisements for boards by Vision s of Reality members. The packhas been going out monthly, ever since fall of '93. The pack is onlya represetative of the artwork t hat has been used as advertisements, and all work by artists may or may not be included. Now, for a fewtidbits of what has gone on in the group recently:ū Late last month (that would be June), several members of theformer LIGHT came over to VOR. Tec hnically this was not a merge, although, around 9 members have come over from the former LIGHT. Wedid merge with a group last mont h, but the details were very sketchyat the time, for it happened at the very end of the month. This groupwas iLLEGAL F/X (iFX), a nother local group in our area consisting ofvery good artists. A rundown of who joined each indivual section, canbe found later in th is file. Raistlin Majere (no, not the iCE one, )from the area code 615 has also joined VOR. He will be doing VGA Artwork,RIP Artwor k, and ANSI logos.ū Under the iFX merger, the member system of VOR has changed.Shadowdancer was to represent iFX as a VOR leader and I was to be theother VOR leader. After some thinking, it was decided that having two leaders with a senior council under them of three people would not work, due to some serious split decisions that could occour due to a 1-1 dispute between the two 'leaders'. The system was changed due to this, and VOR has now has no 'Leader', but instead, the council was expanded to include myself (Widow Maker), Shadowdancer, Hollow Point, and Venom. Then we got to thinking again. A four member council that would vote on all decisions could still cause split decisions (2-2). The next step was to add another member into the council. It was unaminously voted in as the only 4-member council vote of VOR to let Ace of Northwall, RAW Head (VOR Music), into the council to represent the music. Specifics: ū As you probably figured out before, prior to the merge with iFX, and the addition of members from the former LIGHT, our ANSI section was quite weak. Hollow Point was our strongest artist, and he would cough out three or four ansis to go into a pack that would appear to boost the ANSI section, while Tommy Lee, Starbuck, and the occasional ANSI by Dark Wolf, Asterix, or other multi-talented people put in a few ANSIs. Before, we could honestly not AFFORD quality control in the ANSI section, and sometimes, an ANSI was put into the pack that was not the greatest. Now, we have the addition of Lord Scarlet, Silver Rat, Forego, Murcurochrome, Scythe, Thunderhawk, and Shatterstar, as well as logos by Raistlin Majere. This should greatly help the size of the ANSI section, and should allow us to have some quality control on what goes into the pack. Welcome to all of the new ANSI artists. ū In the VGA division, a few members were added to section. The VGA section, though small, is probably still our strongest section. It had already included Venom, Dark Wolf, Muttonhead, and myself, but now would have Chaos, Fat Ass, Pluto, Shadowdancer, Calypso, and Ackman added to it. ū Due to the merge, a minor change was inflicted in the Coding Division. Sinister Outlaw is now the Coding Head of the Coding section. The coding section previously including only Asterix and Lief O'Pardy as main coders (with additional help from Dark Wolf) was expanded to include Lord X, Warveth Windrose, Pluto, Thunderhawk, and Sinister Outlaw. In Coding news, Illuminate, our viewer, has been severly updated to include SVGA modes of viewing, RIP support, documentation, and a few cosmetic changes. ū The lit section gained a few members as well. The lit section, headed by Arturius Pendragon, includes the old members (Apothecary, Felyne, Alexa), as well as Murcurochrome, Grey Mouser, and Ralgoth. ū We are starting a RIP division. It is headed by Raistlin Majere, and Shatterstar & Silverrat are experimenting with RIP. We would really appreciate RIP artists if you wish to apply. ū Our courier section is VERY weak, and we are still looking for couriers. We supposedly have a group couriering for us, but we think they are dead, as they never contact us. :) We have three indivuals couriering for us, Sebastian, Entropy, Pericles. Desolated Dream has also decided to give us a hand with obtaining couriers for VOR. Any couriers out there reading this -- we need you. :) ū Alright, here's where I tell you where you can contact any of the members. Any member can basically be found at Seminole Winds, our WHQ. The number for that is (301) 236-9030, and to get on, enter 'VOR' as your alias, with no password necessary. Most members can also be reached through the internet at @arcanum.clark.net (i.e. dark.wolf@arcanum.clark.net, venom@arcanum.clark.net, or arturius.pendragon@arcanum.clark.net). The senior members of VOR can be reached through the irc (nicks: venom, northwall, etc etc) as well as some indivual artists (nicks: lordScar, ralgoth, art_penny etc etc). You can find them in the IRC in channels #vor, #ansi, #acid, or #ice (Oh yeah, in emergencies, Hollow Point can be found lurking around in channels #gaysex and #youngboys). Any of the senior members can be reached at eliphas@clark.net as well. We now have a Voice Mail Box, but we have to set up a message and make sure it works first. We'll get the number to you A.S.A.P. Again, though, the quickest way to[?7hget the number to you A.S.A.P. Again, though, the quickest way to reach any member of VOR would be by simply calling the WHQ. - Widow Maker [VOR] SAUCE00Information Packet VOR READ THE INI FILE 19940730 P
