Birth in the wild

[?7hA great pain is taken in birth in the wild,
a mother is harried and concerned by the baby.
So many concerns to be dealt with, so much to consider;
the life of the animal will never be simple.

Yet the infant is born into the world,
to learn and to live, as the mother will teach.
The baby starts breathing as a new fire kindles,
the mother prepares to raise her newborn child.

The infant moves,
the infant stretches,
she reached toward the sky,
she looks around, and looks at her world.

The lioness rises from her childbirth process,
to examine and care for the delicate new life,
Around she looks in her dwelling for a bed,
a home must be built for the new bond she has bred,
