ÞÛ Ý ÞÛÛÝ As you may notice, the Union pack was delayed until October 2nd for Û°Ý a variety of reasons, including some artwork which couldn't be sent to ÛÛ us until this time, some coding stuff, and.. well.. hang overs. :). ÛÛ ÞÛ° Anyways, on to the things of note this month. Surprisingly enough ÞÛÛÝ Flatlined Reality is still being run at my house (613-824-7375). An ÞÛÛ entire month with one number, isn't that cool?! Also in the board movage ÛÛÝ scene, Packaged Rebellion switches area codes as Mass Delusion goes off ÛÛÝ to college. The new and improved number is 408-246-0281. The improved Û°Ý local sysop is mCa. ÞÛÛÝ ÛÛÝ Last month our courier coordinator, TaZ, got an ld cap on his phone ÞÛ° lines due to unpaid bills. This more or less reduced his effectiveness ÞÛÛÝ as cc. We have decided to move the cc position from TaZ to Ded Silence, ÞÛÛ one of our couriers and musicians. The position of courier hq is being Þ°ÛÝ moved to Packaged Rebellion. Look up there ^^^^^^^^^^^^ for number. ÛÛÝ Hopefully our couriers will be better monitored now that we have a cc ÞÛÛ again, as I'm sure quite a few of them haven't been doing much. ÞÛÛÝ ÞÛÛ There was a TREMENDOUS OVERSIGHT last month which I'm still kicking ÞÛ° myself for, I forgot to put Black Lightning on the memberlist. Anyways, Û  this dude came over from the defunct Imperial last month, and he rocks. ÞÛ Ý Enough said. You may notice his name is in blinking red in the ÞÛÛÝ memberlist, this is to emphazise my stupidity. (I can't even spul :) Û°Ý ÛÛ Also new this month is Neurosis. The aliases might seem similar, but ÛÛ we *ARE* different people. :). He hails from 404, the relic/trybe state, ÞÛ° while I am Canadian (because... I... Am.). He is mainly a coder, but he ÞÛÛÝ also does some anzis. d00dle d00dle. Necronite from shiver/manifest also ÞÛÛ joined this month. He and I did a pHUNKy jOINt lOg0 this month, check it ÛÛÝ out. I did the colouring. :) ÛÛÝ Û°Ý Last but not least in the new dudes this division is Sharp Edg from ÞÛÛÝ relic. Sharp Edg hasn't left relic, he'll just be splitting his ansi ÛÛÝ work between the two groups. It'll be interesting to see how this will ÞÛ° work out. ÞÛÛÝ ÞÛÛ In the member board/site listings there's been quite a few changes. Þ°ÛÝ Although there are only 3 new members this month, it seems like everyone ÛÛÝ in the group is throwing up a board. That sounds gross. We also nuked a ÞÛÛ LOT of sites, they've had 4-5 months of warnings to join in Union Net, ÞÛÛÝ you would have though that JUST MAYBE they would have taken heed. ÞÛÛ ÞÛ° We didn't list the courier member boards this month, as we are not Û  quite sure which ones will still be in the group once we are finished ÞÛ Ý with the courier nukage. As always, the newest UnionNet nodelist has ÞÛÛÝ been included in this pack. If you're in it, set up the nodelist, and Û°Ý take a GOOD LOOK at it for any changes. Almost all the changes since ÛÛ last month are mentioned in a little "What's new" at the top of the ÛÛ file. ÞÛ° ÞÛÛÝ There's a new division in Union this month, the Granma's hands ÞÛÛ department. Anyone in Union who can draw an accurately detailed ÛÛÝ rendition of Somms' granma's hands in ansi can join the dept. So far the °ÛÝ only contenders are Nailz for NZ-RN9.ANS and me with NC-PX1.ANS. Some Û°Ý how the article writing department got converted into the afro ÞÛÛÝ department. Don't ask me. I think I have more of a "moptop" than an ÛÛÝ afro. ÞÛ° ÞÛÛÝ Don't worry Joe, only 4 months until I get it cut again. ÞÛÛ Þ°ÛÝ I had a wickedly wild idea this month concerning logos, the thing ÛÛÝ is, people want to keep them separated from the full length ansi so they ÞÛÛ put them in LOGO.ZIP or something gay like that, right? The unfortunate ÞÛÛÝ affect of this is that people forget to check out the logos. Some people ÞÛÛ have tried naming the files as .LGO instead of .ANS, but that got even ÞÛ° more people angry at them. Û  ÞÛ Ý Anyways, I think perhaps I have the solution. In sauce there is this ÞÛÛÝ handy-dandy-neat-o-doo area for GROUP_NAME. If people would code the Û°Ý option of sorting files by group name into their viewer, then we could ÛÛ name the full ansis UNION and the logos UNION LOGO. Then all the logos ÛÛ would come up after the full length ansis and EVERYONE would be happy. ÞÛ° Logos are people too. We have already implimented this idea in this ÞÛÛÝ pack. ÞÛÛ ÛÛÝ The chances of this feature being coded into Uniview are.. well.. ÛÛÝ probably non-existant. PennyWise really hasn't been doing much with it Û°Ý in the past couple of months and I honestly doubt if he ever will. There ÞÛÛÝ are other viewers out there much better than ours, and I suggest you use ÛÛÝ them for viewing the pack. We will not include Uniview with the pack ÞÛ° again until there are some changes of note. ÞÛÛÝ ÞÛÛ This month we feature the first in a series of action figures Þ°ÛÝ highlighting Union members, with UAF-NZ.EXE... yes, Nailz and I were ÛÛÝ dropped as children. ÞÛÛ ÞÛÛÝ There is an extremely large bin by Abomination this month, 640 columns.ÞÛÛ I do believe there currently isn't a viewer anywhere in the scene that ÞÛ° supports bin widths of this length. Since the pack was already late by the °  time he it was finished (5:10 pm), well.. we didn't have time to code it. ÞÛ Ý :). Perhaps in future months. The only thing I believe you can view it withÞÛÛÝ it load it up PabloDraw. Û°Ý ÛÛ Incase you're mentally deprived, you may have not noticed that those ÛÛ two vgas by #28 were scanned. Think of this as sort of a preview of the ÞÛ° first Numb pack. For those of you who have been in the scene for a matter ÞÛÛÝ or minutes or hours, Numb is #28's group which consists entirely of ÞÛÛ handdrawn artwork. ÛÛÝ ÛÛÝ Some of you may have noticed that this pack wasn't quite up to our last Û°Ý couple of months. This is totally understandable since school has started ÞÛÛÝ and just about everyone is spending less time in the scene. There were a ÛÛÝ few other "minor" factors that came into play though. Kool's computer ÞÛ° fucking blew up.. it's fried. With it he lost the number to a couple of ÞÛÛÝ members. Nailz went through an "I suck" phase for most of the month ÞÛÛ until I hit him over the head with a hammer :). Þ°ÛÝ ÛÛÝ Various members switched numbers this month, there were a few "this ÞÛÛ line is no longer in service"s, a few "sorry, he's gone away to college", ÞÛÛÝ and a few people who are just never home. Schools teams are starting up, ÞÛÛ and some members are taking driving lessons.
