ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÛ Although there should be no such occurences, the author of this program (NäTM’N) is still NOT LIABLE for any damage caused by NäTView to your HARD- SOFT-Ware. Legal Stuff.Û This program is a FREEWARE, and can be used and distributed ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÛ as much as you want, as long as no charge is made for it. If distributed, the files included are NOT to be modified in any way, but a NETVIEW.INI file can be INCLUDED with the original files if distributed. (See below for details about NETVIEW.INI) This program is NOT to be made a part of any shareware collection and is NOT to be distributed by anyone who charges for the dist- ribution. (And I don't really think anyone would actually pay for it anyway) All this raises a reasonable question: What CAN you do with it??? Well, in a nutshell, you can: 1)GIVE it to a friend, or upload it to a FREE BBS (A BBS that offers a free access with the ability to Download) 2)Include it in any FREEWARE release (Art pack ect.). Well, that's about it. Now onto a little less boring part...:) General... Û This Program was released just because TDD has no alternative ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÛ viewer in production yet. It was written 100% in TURBO PASCAL version 6.0. All ANSi interface was drawn and converted to PASCAL codes using THEDRAW ANSi Editor.Just as most BBS programs NäTView will support a 79-column ANSi fine (I hope),but an ANSi of 80 or more columns is almost bound to result in garbage on your screen. NäTView was tested with the ANSi's done using: Good ol' THEDRAW GuileDraw (Not a very faimous program released around June '94) The long awaited ACiDDraw And the recently released PABLO. No errors occured while displaying 79 column ANSi's done by these programs. For the BEST results you are still advised to use ACiDView, the greatest ANSi Viewer to date. NäTView now features PCB codes support. SO you can view your PCB Pictures in the privacy of your own home.:) It does not yet support ALL the PCB functions, but can display the basic ones such as Color Change and Clear Screen. It may also have some errors while displaying the "@" characters not intended as codes. Set-Up... Û To set up the NäTView, just unzip or copy the file ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÛ NETVIEW.EXE to any directory. (All other files included with it are not neccessary, but may contain useful information... like this file) The file NETVIEW.INI can be created to contain a pre-set file list of the ANSi's, that will be displayed at the start of NäTView. This is very useful for ANSi packs. For Example: NETVIEW.INI looks like this... ANSI1.ANS ANSI2.ANS ANSI3.ANS OTHER FILE and the progarm is loacated in directoey where files ANSI1, ANSI2 AND ANSI3 .ANS are located. when you run NETVIEW.EXE, the file selector will look like this: ANSI1.ANS ANSI2.ANS ANSI3.ANS OTHER FILE where the first free files are ANSI's contained in the curret directory. If you select "OTHER FILE" you will be able to enter the file Name and Path manually. If NETVIEW.INI is present in the CURRENT directory, the Exten- tion and path changing will be automatically disabled, and def- fault extenion window will show "---". NOTE: You can LIMIT the user to only the ANSi's included in the pack by leaving the line "OTHER FILE" out of NETVIEW.INI. If no NETVIEW.INI is present, the File Lister will show all the files with extention "ANS". If no ANS files are present in the directory, NETVIEW will only allow you to select OTHER FILE. Usage... Û This program allows you to enter the File Name/Path and delay ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÛ speed from the commandline. The Syntax is: "NETVIEW.EXE [FILE_NAME] [-DXX] [-Esss] [-?]" where FILE_NAME is the Name/Path of the file you wish to view, and "XX" is the delay speed (05 is the DEFAULT). And "sss" is a 3 char. string setting the default extention. (ANS if balnk) -? parameter will bring up the HELP screen, and the program will exit immediately after a key is pressed. If no extention is entered, the viewer will look for the file with the default extention, which is "ANS" at the start, but can be changed by presing the "E" key. Once in the file selector, the controls are: UP arrow, 8..........Move Cursor up Down arrow, 2........Move Cursor down Left arrow, 4........Prev. Page Right arrow, 6.......Next Page "E","e"..............Change Default extention. You will be asked for the new one in the "EXT" window. (ESC=CANCEL) "P","p"..............Change Directory. You will be asked for the new path on the buttom of the screen in the "PATH" window. Max length-57 chrs. "+"..................Increase Delay "-"..................Decrese delay F1...................On-Line help Delay can vary from 0 to 30, but is not limited when entered through the parameter "-D". NOTE: The arrows can either be the GRAY ones, or the KEYPAD ones if the NUM-LOCK is on. Once the file has been selected, it will be displayed line by line, with a delay between each LINE, not CHARACTER. If SPACEBAR is pressed during the display process, it will pause on the current line, and wait for any key to be pressed, and then resume the display. If any other key is pressed during the display process, it will be interrupted, and you will go back to the file selector, or to DOS if the filename was given through a parameter. Credits... Guarantee...Û This program is guaranteed to contain BUGS and Lots of them, ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÛ but they wouldn't effect any software or hardware on your machine (Or I REALLY hope so...) Well, BYE now to all of you from NäTM’N of TDD. And PEACE. P.S. For greets look into NETVIEW.NFO. P.P.S If you have any questions and/or suggestions leave me mail on The Shattered Lands...
