Just writing the second nfo file for the viewer. The same thing happened last time I made the viewer ... I stop doing things to it 2-3 weeks before the pack is released, thinking it's full bug proof. Ryu asks "Is the viewer ok? there's no bugs right?" ... and I'm like "Dude, no problem, this bitch is CLEAN!" ... then 2 days before they start putting the pack together I get phonecalls from both presidents saying "I found 20 bugs, get something to write on I'll give you a list". I end up working like a racehorse to fix everything I overlooked the NIGHT the pack is due. Well, it turns out the same happened this time because I just finished it when I started typing this thing you're reading. I'll never learn! ---NEW STUFF--- Remember what I promised for this viewer to have? Here, let me show you how much of a dumbass I was: --------------------------------------------------------------- which is slow. But don't worry, by next version I promise there to be the following: Custom ansi parser (so the scroll back will work) 5-6 different VGA viewing modes !!! customized special effects Background music and sound effects and that's it, anything more I can't promise but don't worry.. their will be a lot more! --------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, custom ansi parser and scrollback ... check 5-6 different VGA ... well, only one (What was I smoking!?) customized special effects ... I changed my mind, sounded queer Background music ... pbbt, keep dreaming, maybe next time Even though I didn't meet my quota on everything ... I did get a helluvalot accomplished in a matter of weeks (I'm not conceited, this is what a friend said ... honest!) Look at what's new: File viewing and selecting 210% faster Smooth viewing option SAUCE support 320x200 vga viewing mode now supported 320X400 vga viewing mode now supported Ansi's are parsed (of course) and Scroll back now works File mask big time bug fixed Baud speed simulation The MiiS logo is now red!! (ooooh!) Scroll threw Sause Comments with left and right arrows ... and the biggest, most important new item ... DBL support!!?!?!? Displays DBL's just fine Wheew! That's a lot of new stuff! (I meant to put "!"'s after each item but I thought that might be pushing it) ---DETAILS--- SAUCE works fine ... notice I stuck in something called "Extended Security SAUCE" ... if you hit F8 You can scroll threw the Sause comments, dates, group, and other Sauce shit. Thank you acid I love sauce!.. ever though of putting color in the sauce stuff?.. just a thought.. BPS speeds work fine ... notice though we have an interesting "28800" speed in there ... isn't that interesting? Isn't that a cool idea!? I don't know how I thought that one up. Notice there's no 2400 speed, I didn't put that in there because I thought, "Who is the fossil that is gonna be so queer that they have time to look at an ansi at 2400 bps?" and well, I don't want queer fossils using my viewer, so that fixed that problem. Help file works fine ... One more thing ... did you also notice that when you highlight a DBL it glows in a nice pretty light blue? Isn't that cute?!?! i *LOVE* that!! It makes my day. ---REGARDS & THANX--- Thanks to Jack Hammer for helping me with the scroll back and parser, also for the memory allocation delema I had on me for weeks. He's a very cool guy ... but he's kind of a dork. For one thing, he says, "Let me put it this way ..." WAY TOO many times ... I've counted in a conversation him saying that 23 times. He also laughs too loud and if you're ever seen with him in public for some reason you feel embarrassed and feel like running in the opposite direction as fast as you can. He also drives like a lunatic. But he's an excellent programmer and without him this viewer couldn't have happened. Thanks to Ryu for forcing me to fix things in the viewer when I really don't feel like it. If it wasn't for him the viewer would: ...not have a 320x200 mode ...have garbled and screwy sauce records ...show a sauce record when viewing an ansi ...have a sqwigly thing on the ansi's So thank you to him. Thanks to Thunder for finding two bugs last minute, if it wasn't for him I would be in bed right now, thanks a lot, also if it wasn't for him the viewer would: ...not light up blue on DBL's (isn't it cute?!!?)
