"Camping Trip"

                           Ruby skies,
                        Daydream visions
                     Of a prom night queen.
                         Lovely ladies,
                        Beautiful flowers
                      Parading up and down
                   The midnight movie screen.
                           Shadowy men
                      Contemplating reality
                     And the lack there-of.
                          Unconscious,
                       Fully comprehending
                         Forty-two (42)
                     The meaning of it all,
                        A wishful thought
                       On the poet's mind.
                       Cool breeze blowing
                       Blue bird groaning
                            For a day
                        That is no more.
