The Homeless Man and the Rape Victim With the Green Eyes. -By Whodini [FUTiLE] I saw her carrying her books, so I decided to say "Hi" I looked into her big green eyes, and was mesmorized by what they said. A look of age, but she's not as old as you might think. I looked deeper, and saw her past shine through, battles, death, despair, and hopelessnes. She seems to inspire so much hope from a distance. I just stared, and she didn't seem to care too much. I guess she was used to being looked at in awe. From those who DID find hope in those eyes, and stayed with her. I guess those days are done now, and she stares at me coldly. No warmth from the eyes at all. Just an image of others looking at me. They were at the top of the world, while i was at the bottom looking up. I walked away and sat on a bench, afraid to talk to her. For talking to her big green eyes was only done by the desperate. I sat and thought, but kept on watching those cold eyes. I finally got up, no worries at all, walked up and talked to her. You could say I read her like a book, I knew what she was going to say. "Give me your poor and your weary" I looked into those eyes once more, and suddenly realized that while I have no home, she was the true victim.
