The light of our youth is dimming each day
As the violence mounts and morals decay
Blocking out the true shine of their souls
Acting out the horror from villainous roles
Tearing away at the fabric of peace
Leaving little hope it will ever cease
Brutal destruction of a darkened moon
Throwing the balance of life out of tune
Selling out to the gangs in the hood
To gun down a brother right where he stood
Bloodshed flows in the fountain downtown
For a thieving band out to capture the crown
Turf wars for land which is already dead
No sympathy for a man who's made his own bed
Sword tongued children spew death from their lips
As they hold our society in total eclipse!
