         This is the TaS Artpack #1 (obviously.)  The Tragic ANSi Spinners
group was started by myself, MICRO^[[, in March of 1993.  With the great
support of Nocturnal Emissions, TaS has had quite a few welcomes posted in
[713].  TaS has also turned some plain-jane shops into unique boards with
menus, stats screens, headers, infoforms, and the like.
         If you HAVE heard of TaS, you may have wondered why you have only
seen my handle on the work.  Well,... that's because TaS is and has alwayZ
been just me.  Unless I am sucked up into another group, I hope to continue
the "tragic" look with some new artists and programmers (see the application
generator in this pack.)  ANYone can copy a cartoon!!
         Notice the two VGA ads included in the pack.  NOCEM1.EXE was hacked
using Fred Nietzch's original code.  It seemed to be the only one noone
was messing with because of the graphic "waving" in the middle.  I simply
created a PCX and converted it using a homemade converter to numeric byte
format.  I also changed the scrolling color logic.  (Big deal, eh?)
NOCEM3.EXE is a bit too large.  :)  I used THG's Intro Maker 3.0 on that one.
The skull was hand-drawn in DPIIe.  I hope to have some originals (which are
contained in SMALL, TIGHT executables) made soon.
  NOTE: NOCEM3.EXE will not be included in this pack due to its size.  If you
        are interested, please feel free to log onto NocEm.  The GIF will be
        included, though.
         There was a third one.  It was STEALTH's VGA/MOUSE application
generator.  It was pretty cool, but used multiple PCX files and was MUCH too
large.  A copy used to be on The Body Electric in [216], but... <shrug>
         If you like what you see and are interested in having some TaS work
done for your shop, please contact me on NocEm.  The number is all over the
inclosed art.  If you absolutly hate what you see here, please forgive us
for your wasted download time, but don't refuse to grab the next pack.  TaS
has improved 1000-fold in 3 months and plans to do the same for the duration
of its lifetime.
