Banned in the USA

 I fought for my country in the meaningles war,
 I killed as so many have done before,
 I have no rights anymore,
 I fought through the jungle for the USA.

 I lost my left arm in Vietnam,
 Securing a village, that was supposed to be clear,
 It all changed my life, that one stupid bomb,
 I lost a limb for the USA.

 I came home, a beaten man,
 Regardless, no one liked me
 They all resented the missions I ran,
 I was hated in the USA.

 I tried to relay the pain of my brothers,
 But the government wouldn't let me.
 They were too embarressed about the killing of mothers.
 I was silenced in the USA.

 A government that sends me to war, and then,
 Tells me I can't practice what I fought for,
 Is a government I want no part of ever again.
 I'm proud to have been BANNED IN THE USA.
