Chasm of Doom
 ~~~~~ ~~ ~~~~

 Not content to go along with the established order
 An ordinary man seeks what should not be
 The warnings do not phase him, he makes the decree;
 A young man wishes to meet his destiny.

 Not a warrior, what power will he wield?
 Not a mage, what magic can he weave?
 Only a normal mortal, but no time to worry;
 This place, he now must leave.

 The path to the forbidden place is long
 He knows it has been traveled before, this mountain groove
 The pebbles under his feet, they have been worn smooth;
 A young man realizes this path only goes one way.

 A battered man reaches the place to prove himself
 Shocked to see an angel in white, asking him to kneel
 His people lied, this is no place of danger. Anger he feels.
 Closing his eyes for the last time, an ordinary man.

 His eyes now closed, the angel sheds the white robe.
 The demon rises its grotesque head and tears at the flesh
 Looking for salvation, all this man found was an eternal tomb;
 No one can win, this is the Chasm of Doom!
