The beast leapt, hurtling towards the boy as he ran. He looked at the thing behind him, it's green eyes glowing brightly. The arms were outstretched, huge claws gracing the tips of its fingers. The face was splattered with blood, and large globs of foamy saliva dripped from the fangs. The boy dodged to the side as the creature crashed into the ground, its claws just barely missing his head. The scaley body rose, and began chasing him through the woods. The boy cried out in terror, and ran as fast as him legs could carry him. The boy broke from the woods, and reached his own cabin door. He whipped the door open, and pushed it shut as the creature slammed into him. The thing crashed against the door twice more, and then all was silent. The boy threw the bolt into place, and leaned against the door, breathing a heavy sigh of relief. He waited for another ten minutes, and then he went upstairs. He knocked on his mother's door, and heard her reasurring voice from inside. He opened the door, and ran into his mother's arms. He cried, his small frame shuddering from his sobs. His mother hugged him, and rocked him back and forth. "It's alright, dear. Nothing's gonna happen to my little baby. What was it?" "It.. It.. It was a monster, Mommy! It.. was gonna eat me!" "Really? My, that sounds like a good idea. You're so young and tender, I bet you'll taste real good!" The boy looked at his mother's pretty face, and suddenly her skin ripped apart, showering blood all over the room, as a reptillian horror ripped through her skin. The jaws clamped onto the boy's throat, severing his veins and killing him instantly. The creature drank his blood, then the head rose, and released a piercing scream of ecstacy. From throughout the woods, more howls answered it. The creatures filled the air with their howl, the cry that had been built up for centuries, now released in a PRIMAL SCREAM.
