The Body Electr ic The cold grey light filt ered down through the window, coming to layup on the prisoner on the cot. He looked into the grey mo rning, andcontemplated his crime s. The murders had been necessary, the people had deserved to die. They had insulted him and his fami ly, thus they weredoomed to die . He had cut each one of them into pieces with a ste akknife, and fed the pieces to his dogs.   They all deserve to die! Heavy b ooted footsteps rang in the corridor, and the prisoner  rosefrom his cot. His time had come . He too was going to die. His doorslid  open, and two armed guards entered, cuffing his hands behi nd him.They marched him out int o the hall and towards the execution chamber. A priest followed behind them, muttering prayers in L atin. The prisonerspun quickly  and kicked the priest in the face. "S ave your fucking prayers! No one can help me now, not ev en yourprecious God! If you wa nt to pray, pray to Satan, for Hell is where I'm going! But I'm going to enjoy it!" the prisoner ye lled at the priest.He spit into  the bloody face of the priest, and turned away with an ev ilgrin. The guards pushed him into the c hamber and brought him to thechair.   They shoved him into the seat and strapped him in. They  thenturned away and left the room.  The prisoner looked through the windowat  the audience about to witness his death, and smi led. "They deserved to die! You all deserve to die!" The  switch was thrown, and the prisoner began to jolt as the electricity  flowed through him. His eyeballs exploded in a shower of blood as his ha nds clawed at the straps binding him. After a few more moments, his gri p relaxed, and he slumped back in his chair. The power was cut off, and  his charred body lay there, the smoke filtering around the r oom.
